Endoscopic Forehead / Brow Lift

Men and women alike are concerned about forehead wrinkles and creases. The combined effects of heredity, aging, sun damage, and loss of skin elasticity contributes to wrinkling and deep creases across the forehead. These deep furrows on the forehead, frown lines over the eyes, drooping eyebrows and hood-like skin over the eyes are all conditions that cause patients to look tired, angry and older than their real age.

If you are looking for a more youthful, rested and refreshed facial appearance, a forehead procedure may be right for you.

Who Can Benefit From a

Forehead/Brow Lift?

Patients who are candidates for a brow lift include those who have:

  • Deep (pronounced) horizontal furrows across the forehead
  • Frown lines across the top of nose and between the brows
  • Extra skin that hangs over the eyes
  • Sagging eyebrows
Endoscopic Brow Lift - Clymer Facial Plastic Surgery

Dr. Mark Clymer has helped men and women attain their facial improvement goals with a brow lift. For many patients, a brow lift is performed with an eyelid lift (blepharoplasty). As Dr. Clymer tells his patients, “not all that sags above the pupils is eyelid skin, some is brow skin. He will discuss with you if a forehead/brow lift is the recommended facial rejuvenation procedure to help you achieve your goals.

How Are Forehead / Brow Lift Procedures Performed?

Dr. Mark Clymer typically performs his forehead/brow lift surgeries in a certified outpatient surgical suite. The patient receives local anesthetic, supplemented with sedation medication. Dr. Clymer uses the latest in endoscopic technology to perform his patient’s forehead/brow lifts. The endoscopic forehead brow lift is performed through two small incisions, each about half an inch long, behind the hairline and two incisions above the ear in the hair-bearing portion of the temple, each about two inches long. The incisions are well-hidden.

The brow is repositioned, the muscles that cause the frown lines between the eyes are weakened, and the incisions are closed with surgical clips and sutures. Endoscopic forehead lifts can be performed alone, with a mid-facial lift to improve the tired look around the eyes, or at the same time as a facelift.
